Representative Team Trials

These tryouts will lead our young athletes to the next level of their basketball development. They are designed and run by our experienced and highly qualified representative coaches, they are a great learning environment and follow a clearly stated curriculum called “The Albury Way”.

The Cougars Representative committee and coaches are responsible for overseeing a training program that encompasses player development, coaching education, promoting enjoyment, participation and development of both the game and the player.

At the end of the selection trials, our Representative teams will continue on to prepare and compete in the NSW Basketball, Waratah League Country competition, 1 of 7 divisions in the overall NSW Waratah League. The competition normally runs from March through to the finals in August, it can also be a springboard for our young athletes to be identified and invited to one of the NSW Elite Sports programs.

So…., if you want make great friendships with like minded, motivated kids….then register and trial for one of our Representative Teams.

Trial 1
Sunday 13th October at Lauren Jackson Sports Centre

• • • U12 and U14 at 2:00pm until 3:30pm
    • U16 and U18 at 3:30pm until 5pm

Trial 2
Sunday 20th October at Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre

• • • U12 Boys and Girls and U14 Boys at 12:30pm until 2:00pm
    • U14 Girls and U16 Boys and Girls at 2:00pm until 3:30pm
    • U18 Boys and Girls at 3:30pm until 5pm

Trial 3
Sunday 3rd November at Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre

• • • 9:00am- 10:30am U12 Boys
    • 10:30am – 12:00pm U12 Girls
    • 12:00pm – 1:30pm U14 Boys
    • 1:30pm – 3:00pm U14 Girls
    • 3:00pm- 4:30pm U16 Boys and U16 Girls
    • 4:30pm – 6:00pm U18 Boys and U18 Girls
